Teaching
Alongside my performance career, I am a passionate and experienced piano teacher with over ten years of dedicated teaching practice. I offer private piano lessons to students of all ages and levels, working with beginners through to advanced players. My students range from young children (from age four) to teenagers to adult learners and retirees, and I tailor each lesson carefully to the individual’s goals, interests, and learning style.
As a piano educator, I focus on building strong technical and musical foundations while nurturing confidence, creativity, and a genuine enjoyment of music. I support students preparing for graded piano exams, performances, auditions, or those learning purely for personal fulfilment and creative exploration. I believe a teacher’s value lies in their ability to communicate clearly and adapt their approach, and my teaching practice is centred on empowering students to better understand the instrument and explore its many possibilities.
Alongside giving private instrumental lessons, I have held a university teaching position at the Escuela Superior Musical Arts in Madrid, and have tutored university-level musicology and analysis through The Women’s College at the University of Sydney. In 2025, I was selected as a Benedetti Foundation Ambassador (UK), reflecting my ongoing commitment to professional development and high-quality music education.
My teaching portfolio also includes working with professional musicians, such as opera singers, helping them develop functional keyboard skills as a vital tool for rehearsal, coaching, and teaching.
I employ a warm, supportive, and engaging teaching style grounded in practical and efficient methods. Lessons are always shaped collaboratively, ensuring that each student feels supported, challenged, and motivated throughout their piano journey.
I currently have availability and am accepting new students. I offer one-to-one piano lessons from my home teaching studio in Walthamstow, central London locations, and online.
